The word “samesex” is considered to be a misspelling by the dictionaries of both Google and Microsoft.

This is quite stunning if you consider that the Google Adsense External Keyword Tool indicates that globally while 550,000 people each month search for the two word phrase “samesex marriage,” but, only 135,000 people search for the three word phrase “same sex marriage.”

If you do a search on Google, Yahoo or Bing News, you will see that most journalists, editors and publishers favor using the single word samesex as opposed to the two word phrase same sex.

I believe that Google and Microsoft should update their dictionaries to consider both “same sex” and “samesex” as correct spellings.  Every webmaster and SEO expert knows that Google demotes websites with misspelled words. Without this change, any site promoting same sex marriage as “samesex marriage” will be demoted. With federal marriage laws up for grabs, it seems that this oversight results in an unfair advantage for homophobic groups.   With more than half a million global searches every month for the two word phrase “samesex marriage,” changing these dictionaries seems reasonable.  Not recognizing both forms penalizes users seeking marriage equality for LGBT people.

This situation also translates to support of Prop 8 by companies that have samesex domestic partnership benefits.   I would be very surprised if this is purposeful support of Prop 8 by these companies.   Hopefully, they simply overlooked the wording trend and its potentially serious consequences.

Regardless of how this came to be, I believe in equality and hope that this article is seen by people who have the authority to have these dictionaries and algorithms updated to support equality.

The fundamental difference between a same sex marriage and a traditional marriage is that a Civil Partnership is entirely civil based, hence the title, whilst conventional marriages can take place inside a church. Preceding this, Gay Civil partnerships have risen in numbers on a dramatic scale!

Harris Berger and Michael Quick were married just months after the Californian state overturned a ban on gay marriages, and now under a new proposal, their marriage license may not be worth the paper it is written on, and With 54% of voters voting in favour of a fresh ban, their happiness and future lies firmly in limbo. Many people feel that votes had been confused by the wording of the new bill, as many newlywed gay couples, await their fate.

There are a variety of gay support groups. Such groups cater for young, older, married, same sex parents, different religions, HIV and health issues and even gender issues. Through a united show of support they serve to help with coming out issues, and even same sex parenting.

These groups play an important role in educating the gay community about the level of support they have at hand, as well as teaching parents of gay children how to help their child through any issue.

Good Christians have been deceived by church doctrine, false teachers, and religious organization. All because these pious religious people find it easy to read the scriptures in the Bible, but they leave out the supernatural interpretations of the Holy Spirit. Too many churches ignore the Spirit of God and the truth that it reveals, because it is all about the unseen and not how you are really suppose to live your life in the concrete physical world of our existence.

This is the reason why many churches have abandoned homosexuals; because it is easy to allow people to read the words and interpret them according to human concepts and not according to the Spirit. For instance, when God condemned Sodom and Gomorrah many people think it was because of homosexuality when it was really about them completely abandoning their faith in God. They not only forgot God, but they practiced ritual sexual acts before demonic gods.

2 Peter 2:6, “God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying them with fire, and made them an example of what will happen to the godless.”

When God completely turned my world upside down and showed me the persecutions all gay people face from their families, church and society, He taught me about the purpose of this world. He did this by making me go back to the very beginning of creation and the story of Adam and Eve. When Adam chose to eat the apple he allowed sin into the world. Satan is the demon of sin and he tempts people to abandon God for the things of the world. Read Genesis 3: 1-7 it tells you how our once perfect earth changed when Adam and Eve wanted the knowledge of God.

These scriptures along with many more opened my mind through the Holy Spirit to see the world as a game. A world where people are presented with choices leading them to answer the questions of what is right and why wrong decisions can lead you down evil paths that destroy not only your life, but even the condition of the world. That is the reason why our world today is full of wars, injustices, sicknesses, and suffering of all kinds. This is the reason why we are fighting global warming and a sudden shift in our climate that is radically changing the weather.

When you are in a world game of life their must be a clear difference between good and evil. Satan became the god of this world. Satan introduced sin into human beings lives and as a result he fights against everyone that tries to follow God. This is the reason why our world changed from perfection into a wicked and deprived world.

1 John 5:19, “We know that we belong to God even though the whole world is under the rule of the (Satan) Evil one.”

When people are following Satan and the world, they are abandoning their faith in God. God loves people and God is love. His will for people is to teach them how to live a righteous life in an evil world ruled by Satan. The only way to learn these principles is by being presented with controversies that teach us the difference between love and hate.

Of course it is only natural when you live in a teaching world that people are going to fight against anyone that tries to love. This is the reason why interracial marriages have been condemned in the past. This is why foreign marriages cause controversy and pain for those who feel that couples should not marry unless it is within their own race. Even devote Christians can be lead astray by false teachers to persecute loving homosexual couples. Satan fights against love, but God uses the Holy Spirit to teach people that love supersedes every scripture, every person’s religious doctrine, and of course any person who teaches you to hate people who are in love.

1 Timothy 4: 1-5, “the Spirit says clearly that some people will abandon the faith in later times; they will obey lying spirits and follow the teachings of demons. Such teachings are spread by deceitful liars, whose consciences are dead, as if burnt with a hot iron. Such people teach that it is wrong to marry and to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten, after a prayer of thanks, by those who are believers and have come to know the truth.”

This passage is not about food it is about God accepting everyone. God wanted to establish strong loving Christian marriages. Marriages that equipped two people to standup as a united force against the temptation of Satan. Couples who will fight together as they play their game of life to win for the side of God. Remember God is love and to love is to imitate Him.

When you are in a life game you will be tested in the world in order to come to revelations over injustice, crime, wars, sicknesses and of course every kind of evil that normally comes into people’s lives. God wants us to freely make good choices that lead us down paths of love. He wants us to overcome the evil temptations of the world and love people.

2 John 1: 4&5, “And so I ask you dear Lady: let us all love one another. This is no new command I am writing you; it is the command which we have had from the beginning. This love I speak of means that we must live in obedience to God’s commands. The command, as you have all heard from the beginning, is that you must all live in love.”

Our diversity in who we love teaches us the difference between love and hate. For instance, I was raised in a very religious family where being a homosexual was completely and utterly not accepted. If God made me gay then why would He put me into a family that would not accept my lifestyle? It all comes back to the fact that we live in a world ruled by Satan and naturally the devil fights against love. The devil infiltrates churches while convincing them they are in the right to persecute people who love. While God clearly states that His only command is that all people live in love.

2 Peter 2: 1&2, “False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and will deny the Master who redeemed them, and so they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction. Even so, many will follow their immoral ways; and because of what they do, others will speak evil of the Way of truth.”

God came to me supernaturally because the false doctrines of the church were so ingrained within my being that I would have never accepted being gay, if I didn’t know, that it was His will for my life. He did this by baptizing me in the Holy Spirit and communicating to me through supernatural typed pages on my computer that I did not type! He had no choice but to do this, because the Religious right had so infiltrated the church with false doctrines that no Christian was free to accept homosexual couples whose only crime was love.

Viewing our world in the concept of a game answers this question “Gay marriage, why not?” Our country must fight for strong married couples and give them the right to legally marry. Every couple should have the protection granted to all married couples under the legal laws of their country. Laws that give them the right to take care of their mates when medical decisions must be made. Rights to bury their loved one without interference by families, society or church. The right to walk hand and hand down the street without fear that prejudice will destroy their union that was established by God.

The religious right maintains that civil unions and gay marriage will break down the traditional family. They hold firm that God meant for marriage to be between one man and one woman for the purpose of procreation. I have heard television evangelists say that our laws were derived from the 10 commandments and that we are a Christian nation. Radical right wing websites plant the seeds of fear by equating civil unions and gay marriage to legalizing pedophilia!

Fear is a very powerful emotion. Fear is what enabled Hitler to execute millions of Jewish people. Fear is what convinced the American people that invading Iraq was the right thing to do. It is easier to fear and avoid the unknown than it is to embrace change. Only education and experience can ease the emotions caused by man made fear.

If we looked beyond the radical opinions on both sides and looked at what we have learned from experience, it is clear that gay marriage and/or civil unions do not break down the fabric of our society.

Looking toward experience for some answers, Massachusetts legalized gay marriage in 2004. Most of the other New England states have some type of civil union laws. Providing legal recognition to gay relationships has not produced any negative change in the lives of any New Englander, it has not had an affect on heterosexual marriage nor has it produced an increase in pedophilia (as some would want you to believe).

To find the correct answers to the questions surrounding the legalization of gay unions, one only needs take a rational look at the issues:

1. If my gay neighbors get married, how will this affect me?

It won’t

2. Is the institution of marriage a Christian owned institution or is this a legal contract?

The state requires a marriage license, therefore, marriage is a legal contract. In addition, the state provides alternatives to religious marriage ceremonies.

3. Do we, as Christians, have the right to tell others, including others that practice a religion that allows gay marriage, they must live by our Christian laws?

American is freedom of religion. Christians have no right to force their religious beliefs on others.

4. Marriage is for procreation, therefore, since gay people cannot procreate, these relationships should not be sanctified.

If this were true we would require every couple to have a fertility test before they are married and disallow any infertile person to marry.

5. Sanctifying gay relationships will break down traditional families and marriages.

How can this possibly happen? Gay people are only asking for the same rights and responsibilities granted to heterosexual couples. Recognizing gay relationships will not cause more people to “be gay” nor will it break down any heterosexual marriage. The only possible way that gay relationship recognition would have an affect on the “traditional family” would be if you were looking at “traditional” in a biblical way. In that way, there would be no “man” of the family or biblical “head” of the household.

Sanctifying gay relationships will not hurt this country. It may even make this country stronger. It will open more people up to health insurance eligibility. It will take some off welfare rolls (once married, welfare will not cover the families if at least one person works). It will reduce the states liabilities to provide low income people with health insurance, child care reimbursement, etc because fewer families will meet the income qualifications for these services. But most importantly, it will provide your neighbors with the ability to visit their partners in the hospitals, sign consent for medical treatment for their partners and prevent the children in these families from having to feel ashamed of the parents that they love.
